TOURNAMENT RULES, Under 18
Each team will have 8 pool play matches.
The winner of each pool play match will be awarded 1 point, the loser 0 points.
At the end of pool play teams will be seeded for playoffs. (most points=highest)
*If there is a tie, the team who gave up the least amount of points against will be seeded higher.
If there is still a tie, each team will choose one member who will throw 4 bags.  All points will count, highest score gets higher seed.  Players will throw 4 bags and go head to head with total score until there is a clear winner=player with more points
 
GAME PLAY:

1. Two teams of two people, termed partners, shall play. Partners shall stand at opposite cornhole boxes on the same side, from the perspective of a third person, and face each other, so there is no advantage given to one team.

2. Each cornhole team shall have 4 bags of one color.

3. All 8 cornhole bags begin at one end.

4. Rock, paper, scissors shall determine which cornhole team has honors in pool play. The higher seed will have honors during playoff matches.

5. One of the partners on the team who has honors shall begin play by throwing a cornhole bag at the opposite cornhole box.

6. A cornhole player may throw from anywhere behind the front of the cornhole box they are throwing from.

7. Game continues by alternating throws between the two opponent players until all 8 cornhole bags have been thrown.

8. If a cornhole bag hits the ground then bounces up onto the board, that bag shall be taken off the playing surface before the next throw.

9. The next round starts when the other cornhole player on the team, which has honors, throws their first cornhole bag. The highest scoring team from the previous round has honors.

10. The cornhole game continues until one team reaches 21 or more points and is leading by at least 2 points.
 
 
 
 
 
FOULS:
 
  1. A cornhole players foot goes past the foot foul line, termed a foot foul.
  2. A player goes out of turn:
    1. could happen if a player starts the round and their team did not have honors or if
    2. a player throws 2 bags in a row
Penalty - The player who caused the foul loses the throw when the foul occurred, and the bag shall be removed if it landed on the playing surface.
 
PLAYER ELIGIBILITY:
 
In playoffs, no player can play a second time unless all his/her teammates have played (unless one player is needed to play a match with the last player to take their turn).
*every team member must play in the playoffs before a player can play again
 
 
OTHER:
 
Boards should be placed on a flat surface, 24 feet apart (front to front)- modified from Official ACO distance
 
Highest seeded team picks which board they would like to play on in each playoff round.
